Foods to Avoid for Thyroid Patients

Some foods slow down the functioning of the thyroid gland and should therefore, be avoided by thyroid patients.

Thyroid patients should avoid the consumption of goitrogens, substances that suppress the function of the thyroid gland, and which can also cause an enlargement of the thyroid. Goitrogens are in foods such as cabbage and all its variations like broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, kale etc. and also mustard, turnips, rutabaga, radish, horseradish, watercress, sweet potatoes, cassava and canola oil. Soy, millet and peanuts also include goitrogens and should be avoided.

Soy Products

It is also important to reduce or stop consumption of soy products like soy milk and tofu. And if you must have soy milk, make sure you do not consume it before or after 3 hours of taking your thyroid medicine.

Simple Carbs

Simple carbohydrates such as processed white sugar, cooked carrots, ripe bananas, dried fruits, honey, maple syrup, white bread, white rice, potatoes, white pasta, sweets etc. should be avoided.

Caffeine

Avoid caffeine in the form of coffee, tea, chocolate, soft drinks, icecreams and caffeinated energy drinks.

A Perfect Thyroid Diet

Both copper and iron are so important for thyroid function, so thyroid patients should take time to make sure they’re getting enough in their diets. Foods such as cashews, sunflower seeds, wheat bran cereals, whole-grain products, and cocoa products are all rich in copper. Foods like leafy green vegetables, beans are high in iron. Complement your iron intake with adequate amounts of vitamin C from foods such as citrus fruits, red berries, tomatoes, potatoes, and bell peppers to help maximize your body’s iron absorption efficiency.

In addition to taking care of your diet for thyroid by eating and avoiding the above mentioned foods, you also need to learn to manage your stress since thyroid has a proven relationship to stress. Try to stay calm and use relaxation techniques to manage your thyroid effectively.

Practice regular ujjayi pranayama daily early in the morning on empty stomach.

Biology Of Belief !

Hi Friends....

I have read the book called " The Biology of Belief" by Bruce Lipton Bruce . Total pages are 174 Pages. Total time taken to complete: 1 hr and 22 min. by using "The Art of Studying" techniques which i have written as a serial article in AMP group several years before based on requisition of one Alpha siddha.

Review:

This book is very interesting to read like an interesting novel. We were taught genetic plays vital role in cells particularly when it deals with health issues and characters. But this book gives complete different dimension.

The author is a cell biologist . Author is from Stanford University's School of Medicine. He done research on Cloned Stem Cells. His flow of ideas are content and subject oriented based on output of his research . His focus on this book is epigenetics. the study of the molecular mechanisms by which environment controls gene activity. is today one of the most active areas of scientific research.

Most of the books on these topics are junk and they always tend to prove vaguely at their stand. This book has interesting topics on Magical Membrane. New Physics. Bio of Belief. Growth And Protection. Conscious Parenting and Spirit and Science.
Professor Theodore Hollis (Penn State University) and Klaus Bensch Chariman of Pathology (Stanford University) support author's ideas. These researchers helped author by providing space in their laboratories.

The ultimate transformation from this book is cell's life is controlled by the physical and energetic environment and not by its genes.

Using cell communities as role models, author came to the conclusion that we are not victims of our genes. but masters of our fates, able to create lives overflowing with peace, happiness and love. He tested his hypothesis in his own life after a nudge from his audiences, who asked him why his insights hadn't made him any happier. They were right: He needed to integrate his new biological awareness into his daily life.

Genes are simply molecular blueprints used in the construction of cells, tissues simply molecular blueprints used in the construction of cells, tissues and organs. Environment serves as a "contractor: who reads and engages those genetic blueprints and is ultimately responsible for the character of a cell's life. It seems cell's awareness of the environment, not related to genes. This is the exact cause sets into motion the mechanisms of life.

Molecules that buried within the cytoarchitecture of the cell were clues that would provide insight into the mysteries of life.

Life is the consequence of blind chance, the flip of a friendly card or, to be more precise the random shake of genetic dice.

Darwin stated that individual traits are passed from Parents to their children. Hereditary factors passed from parent to child control/the characteristics of an individual's life. That bit of insight set scientists off on a frenzied attempt to dissect life down to its molecular nuts and bolts, for within the structure of the cell was to be found the heredity mechanism that controlled life.

He mentioned that single cell awareness plays vital role in life mechanism than genome genetics. Our human minds get involved to perceive the environment in different ways. but single cells awareness is more reflexive. Thats why Buddha always quoting live in the present with mindfullness (fully awareness/ Conciousness state)

At last, the final transformation of the book which I digested is " Consicousness in Thoughts" are the cause, sets into motion the mechanisms of life, Health, Prosperity, Longevity, Fame and Wisdom.

In Tamil Literacy, all the books reveals these technique from Agathiyar,valluvar, Avvaiyar, All Siddhas to till date current literacy. :):):)

மன்னிப்பின் மேன்மை...


 மன்னிப்பின் மேன்மை

இப்போது ஒரு வினா எழுப்பலாம்; ஒருவர் ஒரு பெரிய கொடுமையை செய்கிறார் அவருக்கு எதிராகக் கூட சினம் கொள்ளக் கூடாதா? என்று கேட்கலாம். சினத்தினால் எங்கும் ஒரு நன்மையும் வந்ததாக இதுவரை வரலாறில்லை. தீயவர்களையும் கொடியவர்களையும் மன்னித்தால் தான் சிறந்தது. அன்றி பதிலுக்குப்பதில் அல்லது பழிக்குப்பழி என்று இறங்கினால் அதற்கு முடிவு எங்கே?
...

நமக்கு ஒருவர் கெடுதல் செய்தாலும் நாம் நம் வயம் இழக்கலாமோ? நம் வயம் இழந்தால் தானே சினம் வரும்? நாம் நாமாகவே இருந்தால் அதுவே அவருக்கு ஓர் பாடமாகி மீண்டும் இத்தகைய தீங்கு செய்யாதிருக்க ஒரு நல் வாய்ப்பாகும்.

இன்னும் ஒரு படி மேலே சென்று தீங்கு செய்தவருக்கும் நன்மை செய்துவிட வேண்டுமென்றும் நமது பெரியோர்கள் கூறியிருக்கிறார்கள். அவ்வாறு செய்தால் சினத்திற்கு அங்கு இடமே இல்லை.

அப்படி நமக்குத் துன்பஞ் செய்தார் மேலும் சினம் கொள்ளாததோடு அவருக்கு நன்மையையும் செய்யவில்லை என்றால் அருள்துறையில் இருந்து என்னபயன்? சினம் ஒழிந்த இடத்தில் தான் இந்தப் பெருந்தன்மை வரும்.

நான் எவ்வளவோ பொறுமையாகத்தான் இருந்தேன். எனக்கு சினம் வரும்படியாகப் பண்ணிவிட்டார்கள் என்று சொல்லித் தப்பிக்க முயல வழியில்லை.பொறுமைக்கு எல்லை உண்டு என்பது சுத்தத் தவறு. பொறுமைக்கு எல்லை, வரையறை செய்தால் அது தான் வஞ்சம். ஏன், பொறுமை கடலினும் பெரிது எனும் கருத்துங்கூடத் தவறுதான். பொறுமையை எந்த அளவுக்கும் உள்ளடக்க முடியாது. எல்லை என்பதே இல்லா இறைநிலையைப் போலவே எல்லை என்பது இல்லாததே பொறுமை.
