The way a person who
meditates should groom himself according to ‘Karaniyametta Sutta’
• Develop skills and talents
• Behave straightforward
• Act with absolute honesty
• Be obedient
• Have a gentle nature
• Never be conceited
• Always be in high spirits

- Should be able to accomplish
sustenance and other necessary activities without difficulty
- Do what one can and, be able to
do only (Not to grab excessive work beyond one’s ability)
- Be simple
- Have a calm and composed
faculty of sense
- Have intelligence
- Not to be stubborn and unruly
- Not to have fixed attachments
to families and relationships
- Not do a single wrong thing
which would annoy the intellectuals
- Never cheat
- Never verbally abuse others
- Never wish evil to befall on
others because of hatred and anger
